Our People

Abra has worked in care for just over 10 years. She joined CCM in 2023 on the bank and holds Level 2 and 3 qualifications in health and social care. Currently, she is pursuing a Level 4 Adult Practitioner course.

In her spare time, Abra enjoys spending time with her daughter, horse riding, and fishing.

She finds working for CCM on the bank rewarding due to the diverse range of clients, making each day different. She also appreciates working with the lovely office staff.

Thanks to their backgrounds in nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy you can trust that your rehabilitation is in the most competent of hands.

Our support teams are bespoke to each individual client and are rigorously trained to the highest standard.

Office

  • Emily Brooks
    Director

    Emily has worked within Brain Injury Rehabilitation in various support roles for 19 years.

    Emily worked alongside the founding director, her mother Bev Wild from the inception of Complex Case Management and has enjoyed building the company with her mother and watching it grow into the company it is today.

    Emily took on the directorship after Bev passed away in February 2020 and with her new role brings enthusiasm and passion for client care and rehabilitation.

    Emily is a new mother and enjoys playing guitar, singing (badly) and spending time with her family.

    Emily is a currently working with Headway to found a North Manchester branch of the charity.

  • Michelle Leigh
    Team Administrator

    Michelle joined the Complex Case Management team as a junior administrator in May 2017, then moved into the team administrator role in July 2018.

    ​Prior to joining the team, Michelle spent 15 years in a customer service role.

    Michelle is a keen biker and can be seen enjoying trips on the open roads of Lancashire and beyond.

     

  • Alison Grace
    HR Manager

    CCM are delighted to welcome Alison Grace to the team, joining us as our new HR Manager.

    After 14 years of working within the NHS Alison joins us having worked previously in clinical administration roles before progressing to a management position within the Portering department. This gave her responsibility for the HR management of 70 members of staff.

    Alison brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in both HR and clinical management and we believe this will greatly benefit our clients and offer cost effective, efficient HR management.

    Alison is the perfect fit for our team and is excited to begin working within our company’s ethos of guiding rehabilitation and empowering lives.

  • Bryony Ward
    Administration Assistant

    Bryony completed a HND in Health and Social Care in 2017, Bryony has always been interested in the Health and Social Care sector.

    Bryony joined CCM as a junior administrator in 2022 and has reported that she loves working in the office at CCM.

    After working at CCM for a year, Bryony’s role has since changed to administration assistant.

    In her spare time Bryony enjoys concerts, spending time with her family (especially her cat, Mika), cooking and travelling with her girlfriend Elle.

  • Fran Bruscia
    Senior Case Manager and Clinical Director

    Fran joined the team at Complex Case Management in February 2016 as a case manager and was promoted to Senior Case Manager and Clinical Lead in November 2016.

    Fran has worked in the Neuro Rehabilitation and complex care sectors in residential, primary care and community settings for 22 years; working in various roles including Rehabilitation Support Worker, Nurse, Care Manager, Specialist Paediatric Case Manager and is now the Registered Manager for Complex Case Management.

    Fran is passionate about her work with her clients and most enjoys seeing them achieve their goals and maximising their independence, through the use of an individualised rehabilitation package.

    In her spare time Fran enjoys reading and spending time out with her family on adventure walks.

  • Mark Tyson-Shore
    Care Manager / Case Management Assistant / Compliance officer

     

    Mark has worked in the health sector since 2012, starting his health care career as a support worker in a private secure psychiatric hospital. He quickly progressed in his career from support worker to senior support worker then to senior clinical support worker.

    Mark moved from the health care sector to the social care sector in early 2018, working with vulnerable looked after children as a contracted agency support worker. Mark then switched from agency to full time, quickly progressing to acting deputy manager.

    In his spare time Mark likes to spend time playing on his PlayStation, however Mark loves to ensure his car is looking clean, shiny and presentable.

  • Amanda Knight
    Associate Case Manager

    Amanda worked as a clinical case manager for Complex Case Management from 2016 to 2019.  She returned to CCM as an Associate Case Manager in 2022 and has been an Advanced BABICM practitioner since 2021.  Amanda has been a registered Occupational Therapist since 2006 with a specialist interest in neurology.

     Amanda has extensive experience coordinating complex health and rehabilitation needs for adults and children with life-changing and catastrophic injuries.  This includes arrangement and coordination of bespoke support packages, including provision of ABI training.  Amanda has specialist knowledge of brain injury, complex polytrauma and psychological difficulties,  following accident or medical negligence.  Amanda is proficient with optimising recovery and rehabilitation outcomes for clients with complex needs and steering them through the litigation process or continuing with long term goals post-settlement.  She is responsive to clients’ needs with exceptional communication skills and can provide meticulous reports / costings.

     

    In her spare time Amanda enjoys running, going to the gym to keep fit and walking.  She also spends quality time out and about and socialising with family and friends.

  • Mandi Brereton
    Clinical Case Manager

    Mandi is a dedicated registered nurse with exceptional communication skills and a strong clinical background in cardiothoracic intensive care, including heart and lung transplants, hospice care, and complex community care. She has effectively coordinated holistic care packages for clients with diverse needs, such as spinal injuries, complex births, congenital conditions, and acquired brain injuries.

    With excellent assessment skills, Mandi creates and reviews care plans to adapt to clients’ evolving needs. She has expertise in safe recruitment, staff management, budgeting, and Care Quality Commission standards. Additionally, she has served as a manual handling trainer and has trained staff for specialized care packages.

    In her spare time, Mandi enjoys family activities and spending time with her Goldador, Frayja. She is an avid horse lover and also volunteers at her local church.

  • Sue Cleary
    Assistant Case Manager

    After qualifying as a Registered nurse in 2001, Sue worked within ICU, HDU and surgical wards for the NHS before specialising in rehabilitation at The Priory Neuro-Rehabilitation Centre in 2004.

    Sue went on to work with elderly clients as Clinical Manager at a 150 bed Nursing Home for the elderly.

    Sue then worked as a Clinical Case Manager for CCM until her move to a new role as Compliance Officer in February 2021. Sue’s extensive experience managing within the care sector teamed with her experience of Case Management and Neuro Rehabilitation give her the ideal skills and qualities to ensure CCM provide excellent levels of clinical care and support to our clients.

    In her spare time Sue is kept busy with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sue also enjoys following Manchester City football club and walking her beloved King Charles Spaniels Lottie and Bella.

  • Adrianna Lasan
    Team Leader Support Worker

    Adrianna has been dedicated to the health and social care sector since November 2020, gaining valuable hands-on experience in providing specialised care to clients with complex needs. Over the course of her career, she has built expertise in a wide range of areas including Spinal injury, brain injury and working with children with autism.

    Adrianna’s diverse skill set and compassionate approach to care reflect her commitment to improving the lives of those she supports.

    Outside of her professional life, Adrianna is an avid animal lover and enjoys spending time with her dog Amelié , Whether it’s a walk through the park or a playful afternoon at home, her bond with her pet is a key part of her life.

    Adrianna also finds peace and joy in nature. She loves going on hikes and exploring the outdoors, appreciating the beauty and tranquillity that nature has to offer. These activities help her recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

  • Rob Gouhar
    Senior Support Worker

    Rob joined Complex Case Management in 2015 and has over 15 years’ experience assisting people with an Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI), combined with 7 years of implementing care structures and daily living plans for people with ABI and mental health issues.

    Rob’s training includes:

    –      NVQ 2/ NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care
    –      Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services
    –      Train the Trainer
    –      First Aid
    –      Extensive training in tracheostomy care and gastrostomy feeding regimes.

    Rob has supported the employment and introduction of clients care teams; managing support worker inductions and supervision records as well as providing the relevant training, documentation and IT support.

    He assists the case managers, ensuring all staff training is relevant and appropriate as well as creating and utilising data analysis charts to assist with therapy goals.

    When not at work, Rob enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors and hiking/ mountaineering. He also enjoys seeking out live music and comedy events.

  • Lou White
    Rehabilitation Support Worker - Team Leader

    Lou began her career in 2008 as a rehabilitation support worker in a case management setting. In 2015, she transitioned to working under Complex Case Management (CCM) when the company was established. Over the years, Lou has gained extensive experience in supporting individuals with various types of acquired brain injuries (ABI) and spinal injuries.

    She feels fortunate to be part of CCM, where continuous learning and personal growth are highly valued. From the bottom to the top, every team member is considered valuable. Emily, their leader, invests in their development and provides support every step of the way. Thanks to CCM, Lou has obtained her Train the Trainer qualification and is currently working towards achieving her Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Care, in addition to her NVQ3.

    In her leisure time, Lou enjoys engaging in DIY projects, taking care of her garden, and breeding show cats. She also cherishes spending quality time with her family, especially during large gatherings and holidays. Additionally, Lou has a passion for attending live shows and performances.

  • Barbara Guzik
    Rehabilitation Support Worker

    Barbara has been working as a personal assistant/rehabilitation support worker for about six years, primarily supporting individuals after spinal cord injuries. Throughout her six-year journey, she has learned a great deal and developed a passion for this work. She has met many fantastic clients, for which she is very grateful.

    When Barbara is not working, she can typically be found at the gym. She leads a healthy lifestyle, focusing on her diet and following a well-structured training plan. In addition to her love for fitness, she has an interest in art, personal development, and enjoys reading books. She is also intrigued by the beauty industry. Originally from Poland, Barbara has a deep love for her country and its cuisine

  • Vicky Pemberton
    Rehabilitation Support Worker

    Vicky has been dedicated to the field of care since 2016, accumulating a wealth of experience and skills over the past eight years. She possesses expertise in tracheostomy care, stoma management, and catheterization, with a strong focus on epilepsy, dysphagia, non-verbal clients, and autism. Vicky has also successfully completed Level 1 and 2 in British Sign Language, enhancing her ability to communicate effectively with clients.

    As a confident and capable carer, Vicky excels in moving and handling, demonstrating proficiency with both manual and track hoists.

    Vicky is adept at assisting clients with swallowing difficulties, including spoon feeding and administering medication via PEG.

    Her diverse experience includes caring for individuals with brain injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, visual impairments, and a rare form of dwarfism that presents unique challenges. Vicky has also provided care for elderly clients, including those with dementia, and has supported a young man with CHARGE syndrome. Throughout her career, she has engaged in respite care, both in her home and at clients’ residences.

    Vicky’s skills are highly adaptable, and she is always eager to learn new techniques and approaches to meet the needs of her clients effectively.

  • Nigel Lowry
    Casual Support Worker

    Nigel holds an NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 in Health and Social Care, alongside a Level 3 Certificate for Health Trainers. With over 16 years of experience in the sector, Nigel has developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise across a variety of roles. He has served as a Team Leader and Area Manager in Supported Living, overseeing operations and ensuring quality care for individuals in diverse settings. 

    Nigel’s career also includes a significant role as a Care Coordinator, where he supported and managed care services for individuals with various needs, including children, individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, the elderly, and those recovering from brain injuries. His experience extends to working in a medium secure unit, where he gained valuable insight into providing care in complex and challenging environments.

    Passionate about helping others and committed to improving lives, Nigel is driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the wellbeing of those in his care. Outside of his professional work, Nigel enjoys traveling and socializing, always seeking new experiences to enrich his personal and professional life.

  • Nicole Sagar
    Casual Support worker

    Nicole joined Complex Case Management as a support worker in January 2025. Nicole has experience supporting a wide range of individuals, including those with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries (ABIs), mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and those who present with challenging behaviour. This experience has enabled her to work in a pressurized and unpredictable environment, where multitasking and prioritizing the workload are essential. Nicole manages all situations appropriately by following company protocols and training. She takes pride in possessing strong communication and listening skills and is always eager to learn new skills and adapt to various situations.

  • Ella Grace
    Casual Support Worker
    Ella brings four years of experience in the health and social care sector, specializing in diverse areas of care. Currently, she serves as a Bed Manager in the mental health sector within the NHS, where she is responsible for managing patient admissions and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.
    Client Experience: Ella has a robust background in working with clients facing significant health challenges, including:

  • Robert Insaidoo
    Casual Support Worker

    Robert is a dedicated support worker with more than 5 years of experience in the care industry. He has honed his skills by working in various roles within the health and social care sector.

    One of Robert’s strengths is his ability to learn and adapt his skills to meet the unique needs of each client he supports. He understands that every individual requires personalized care, and he strives to provide the best possible assistance to each person.

    Robert is not only capable of working independently but also excels in a team environment. He understands the importance of collaboration and is able to contribute effectively towards achieving common goals.

    In addition, Robert possesses exceptional listening skills, which enable him to understand the concerns and requirements of his clients. He is also an effective communicator, able to convey information and ideas clearly and empathetically.

  • Paul Sanders
    Casual Support Worker

    Paul has a diverse employment background, with a focus on family support. He worked for Rochdale Local Authority for about 10 years in various roles, including Residential Support Worker, Pupil Referral Unit assistant, and learning mentor in a secondary school. This foundation led him to a 10-year career in the care sector, starting with supporting a family member with dementia and Alzheimer’s.

    His first non-family client was a 64-year-old stroke survivor, and since then, he’s worked with a range of clients, including those with behavioural challenges and those needing personal care. Paul is passionate about helping people reach their potential and has completed extensive training in areas like first aid, medication administration, and GDPR.

    Casual Support Worker

    Julie has over 20 years’ experience in the health and social care sector.
    Julie has 4 years plus of brain injury experience.
    Julie has worked for CCM since March 2024 however has been previously managed by CCM on behalf of the employer.

    Angie has 30 years experience working in the care sector, she has experience working with both children and adults.

  • Sam Turner
    Rehabilitation Support Worker

    Sam has worked for complex case management since June 2022. Sam previously worked for Complex Case Management In 2016. Whilst working for Complex Case Management Sam has been assisting in the support and rehabilitation of clients with complex traumatic brain injuries including brain injury and Spinal injury. Sam has also provided private care to people away from Complex Case Management.

  • Caitlyn Catterall
    Casual Support Worker

    Caitlyn has worked in various care settings. Her duties have encompassed all aspects of personal care and support, assisting clients with daily life choices and decisions. The most important skill Caitlyn has developed during these times is relationship building, which she views as essential for positively supporting clients, especially when they are at their most vulnerable. She also emphasizes the importance of strong team relationships, as a positive team promotes better care.

    Caitlyn has honed her communication skills throughout her career, interacting effectively with clients, team members, families, and other professionals. Her goal is to maintain high standards of work in an ever-changing service. Always eager to learn and adapt to the latest policies and guidelines, Caitlyn is open to ongoing training.

    Caitlyn’s  current skill set, combined with her passion for further development, would make her a valuable asset to any team. Caitlyn is currently studying to be a nurse.

  • Rob Chennells
    Casual Support Worker

    Rob has worked in care settings for the last 10+ years.

    He has worked with a variety of individuals with different backgrounds and abilities. He has supported individuals in the community and within their homes.

    Rob has worked as a team leader in a previous role. He has his HSC level 2 & 3.

    Rob is very passionate about helping a client to achieve their goals

  • Richard Woodall
    Casual Support Worker

    Richard has worked as a support worker since 2014. Richard has worked with Complex Case Management since October 2019, assisting in the support and rehabilitation of clients with complex traumatic injuries including Brain Injury and spinal injuries. Richard is a team leader and has a wealth of experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams and assisting his clients to reach their goals.
    Richard has a full UK drivers’ licence.

  • Janet Connolly
    Casual Support Worker

    Janet has worked within the health and social care sector for around 20+ years.
    Janet has worked in a variety of sectors, From disability to brain injury. Janet has even worked within a prison.
    For the past 8 years Janet has worked for a nursing agency supporting clients across the north west, Janet has done this alongside working a full-time role with brain injury clients.

  • Ayodeji Adebayo
    Casual Support Worker

    Ayodeji’s healthcare support journey is complemented by hands-on experiences and a commitment to professional development. In a previous role as a caregiver, he provided dedicated support to an elderly gentleman assisting with daily tasks, medication management, and offering emotional comfort. This experience underscored the significance of empathy and adaptability in addressing the unique needs of each individual.

    In addition to his caregiving experience, Ayodeji has held administrative roles that have further refined his skills in managing health records and coordinating care services with efficiency and precision. His proactive approach to professional growth is evident in his pursuit of certifications and training, ensuring he remains informed about best practices in the healthcare field.

    Eager to leverage his expertise, Ayodeji is dedicated to making a positive impact in healthcare support, striving to enhance the lives of those he serves through every compassionate interaction.

    We have worked with Complex Case Management since April 2019.  Ben Nolan, Case Manager was instructed on a joint basis by the parties under the auspices of the Rehabilitation Code to provide case management services for a spinally injured gentleman whose post-accident recovery and rehabilitation was complex and challenging for many reasons.

    Ben immediately established a rapport with the Claimant and his family, gaining a full insight into his immediate clinical needs, short to medium term goals and importantly his longer term aspirations for the future.

    Ben has very diligently established a multi-disciplinary team which has been very effective in managing and progressing the Claimant’s rehabilitation, including supporting the search for appropriate alternative accommodation which has now been found.

    Ben’s communication style is extremely effective and imparts confidence in him and his role as case manager, such that we each are always up to speed with the current position, progress being made and goals and objectives that are being worked on.  It is a genuine pleasure to work with Ben and all at Complex Case Management.
